"Server Monitoring 24x7x365" is a new service that we offer as part of our service improvement initiative. The service is available to the customers that already have their hardware on the premises of SigmaNet Data Center. The service is free of charge.
The new monitoring service allows to check the workload of your servers as well as the availability of the services installed on your servers.
The following hardware monitoring options are offered:
Availability of the server services This kind of monitoring allows to check the activity of the services installed on your server (WEB, SMTP, FTP, POP3, e.t.c.)
Complete system's monitoring The monitoring system provides statistics about the usage of the server resources, e.g. CPU load, memory and disk space usage, bandwidth usage by the network interfaces, and other resources.
Note, that to provide the Complete system's monitoring option it is necessary to install the monitoring client software (the agent) on the respective servers. This is a software module that provides the communication with the monitoring server and is available for most operating systems and hardware platforms.
Both monitoring options are able to generate visual charts for a given time interval. In addition, the monitoring system offers automatic notifications by email or by SMS (short messages to mobile phones)*. The notifications are sent in case of service failures or hardware overloads.
