Acting General Manager of SigmaNet: Baiba Kaškina

Customer Technical Support department

Consults about SigmaNet services, coordinates incoming calls, analyzes and solves problems together with other SigmaNet groups. Provides customers and other departments of the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science with e-mail services. Informs customers about new services and offers.

Network Management department

Ensures smooth operation of the Academic Network, maintains and keeps the infrastructure of SigmaNet Data Centre and computer network of Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science as well as provides technical support to the SigmaNet Data Centre customers, academic and commercial clients.

Billing Policy department

Billing Policy department are responsible for billing and service pricing policies and methodology. Also resposible for SigmaNet budget formation and execution. Group supervision is billing process and monitoring as well as participation in SigmaNet development planning.

Network Research and Development department

Conducts research in computer networks, their functions and performance, as well as Grid technologies, collaborates with international organizations and National Research and Education Networks (NREN) of other countries, advisedly and actively participates in scientific projects.

System Development and Maintenance department

Develops and deploys new systems which are essential for providing electronic services as well as maintains existing systems, ensures constant operation of SigmaNet servers, troubleshoots the developed systems.
